What the notice says

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a sole-source multiyear contract to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, 6900 Main Street Stratford, CT 06615, for 92 CH-53K Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 9-13 aircraft for the United States Marine Corps. NAVAIR procured these aircraft under a fixed price incentive-successive target (FPIS) contract type. This requirement was pursued on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and… (show all)

no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Sikorsky is the designer, developer, and sole producer of the CH-53K aircraft and the only known source that possesses the data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance, and support characteristics of the CH-53K to fulfill this need in a timely manner. This notice is for informational purposes only. For subcontracting opportunities, please contact Sikorsky directly. The Justification and Approval for this effort is CJ&A 21-0124.

Value counts single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling; that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's last annual revenue from its 10-K.

Investor context
  • $LMT reported $77.0B revenue (12 months to Jun 28, 2026). The median single-winner award in these 17 past awards, $4.2M, is under 0.1% of that. SEC filing

One award's total value against one year of revenue; many awards are paid over several years.

Latest awards

Materiality: one award's value as a share of the winner's revenue over the latest 12 months in its SEC filings (or its last fiscal year, as noted when you point at it). Low under 1%, Medium 1 to 5%, High 5% or more. Many awards are paid over several years, so this overstates a single year's share.
