What the notice says

In accordance with FAR 5.705(b), notice is hereby given that this contract action was not awarded competitively. As detailed in the attached redacted Limited Sources Justification, this requirement was awarded on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B) and (iii)(B). The rationale for limiting sources is due to the substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, as well as unacceptable delays in fulfilling critical agency requirements. Competing this effort would require a new vendor to duplicate significant… (show all)

prior investments in development and testing. This duplication of effort is neither cost-effective nor feasible for the Government. Therefore, limiting competition to the incumbent/identified source was necessary to meet mission requirements without incurring prohibitive costs or schedule delays. For further details, please refer to the attached redacted Justification and Approval (J&A) document posted in accordance with FAR 6.305.

Value counts single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling; that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's last annual revenue from its 10-K.

Investor context
  • $LMT reported $67.6B revenue in FY2025. The median single-winner award in these 17 past awards, $4.6M, is under 0.1% of that. 10-K

One award's total value against one year of revenue; many awards are paid over several years.

Latest awards

Materiality: one award's value as a share of the winner's revenue over the latest 12 months in its SEC filings (or its last fiscal year, as noted when you point at it). Low under 1%, Medium 1 to 5%, High 5% or more. Many awards are paid over several years, so this overstates a single year's share.
