Full Analysis

The CONVEY Act, introduced by Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO-3), became Public Law No. 118-227 on January 4, 2025. The bill directs the Secretary of the Interior, through the Bureau of Land Management, to convey a specific 31.1-acre parcel of land in Clifton, Colorado, to Mesa County. The conveyance must be at fair market value as determined by an independent appraisal, and the county bears all associated costs including surveying. Proceeds from the sale are deposited into the Federal Land Disposal Account under the Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act. This is a routine, localized land transfer with no appropriations or broad policy implications. There are no funding mechanisms that affect any industry or public company. The bill's limited scope means zero market impact for retail investors. No legislative steps remain—the bill is law.
