What the notice says

1. GENERAL: The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, requires one (1) new Advanced surgical microscope for the Otolaryngology Clinic. 2. BACKGROUND: Currently, the only surgical microscope at the facility meeting the needs of both the Neurosurgical and Otolaryngology sections is the Zeiss Kinevo. The Kinevo microscope has traditionally been primarily used by Neurosurgery. Since the Otolaryngology section began performing microvascular reconstructions, both sections have had to share this microscope. Sharing has led to multiple schedulin… (show all)

g conflicts, resulting in delayed surgical care and, in some cases, Veterans being referred to community care due to extended wait times. Acquiring a new Advanced surgical microscope will provide necessary redundancy in our facilitys capabilities, ensuring continuity of care when the Kinevo microscope is unavailable due to maintenance or repair. The Kinevo microscope has been out of service multiple times in the past one to two years, and no other current surgical microscope at the facility is an optimal alternative for either Neurosurgical or Otolaryngology reconstructive procedures.

Value counts single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling; that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's last annual revenue from its 10-K.
