What the notice says

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD issued a modification to the existing N00019-19-C-0008 contract, on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC). The Firm-Fixed-Incentive-Price (FPIF) contract modification is for NGSC to incorporate Recurring & Non-Recurring Engineering Chang Proposals (ECP)s to the MQ-4C Triton Production Unmanned Aircraft. The contract modification was awarded on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1, "Only One Responsibl… (show all)

e Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and producer of the MQ-4C Triton UAs and Ground Stations. Therefore, NGSC is the only source with the requisite knowledge of the Triton design, operation, and maintenance to successfully, provide the necessary engineering, systems integration, and production support within the required timeframes and without substantial duplication of costs. Value counts single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling; that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's last annual revenue from its 10-K.

Investor context
  • $NOC reported $39.3B revenue in FY2025. The median single-winner award in these 11 past awards, $66.0M, is 0.2% of that. 10-K
  • $BA reported $77.8B revenue in FY2025. The median single-winner award in these 11 past awards, $66.0M, is under 0.1% of that. 10-K

One award's total value against one year of revenue; many awards are paid over several years.
