This Market Survey is for the Elevator Modernization, Salt Lake City Airport Air Traffic Control Tower (SLC ATCT) Salt Lake City, Utah, 84116. All responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. Presently, the nature of the competition has not been determined. Upon solicitation the FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for Small Businesses (SB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the 8(a) Program. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey submissions will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. SECTION I: DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMS: PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The elevators that serve the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) (1201 N 4000 W, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84116) at the Salt Lake City (SLC) Airport were commissioned in 1999. There is one elevator serving the tower (gear traction elevator) and another serving the base building (hydraulic elevator). The tower elevator is the primary means of vertical transportation up and down the tower and is the only elevator that serves the ATCT. The ATCT is 328-ft above ground level (AGL) and the tower elevator services 23 levels. The base building elevator, used by facility staff who cannot use the stairs, is also in need of repair. The base building elevator only serves the first and second floor of the base building. Both elevators are accessible by the link connecting the tower and base building facilities. These elevators are in operational condition but see frequent outages. The project must bring both elevators up to the most recent version of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A17.1 elevator code. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor must perform a professional assessment to identify all deficiencies of each elevator, followed by a modernization (alteration) of each elevator and elevator components in accordance with the latest edition of the ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators to maximize the life expectancy of each elevator plant. Currently the Specifications and Drawings are not available for posting. However, a Draft Summary of Work is provided as an attachment. The anticipated period of performance is 180 CALENDAR DAYS. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. SECTION II CAPABILITY STATEMENT: In order to make this determination the FAA requires the submission of the following information from interested vendors: All respondents must provide a Capability Statement that addresses the following (in order): a. Type of services provided by interested firm that demonstrate its ability to perform the services described in the Project Description. b. Services provided under previous contracts that are similar in size, scope and complexity to this effort. Provide detailed information and past performance information for at least three (3) previous contracts including program title, customer name, project dates, project value, customer point of contact email address, and description of work performed. c. Respondents access to additional resources, skills, subcontractors, etc, if necessary to perform the contract. If subcontracting, teaming, or partnering arrangements are anticipated, those arrangements must be identified, as well as the estimated percentage of the total effort that each subcontractor, partner, or team member will provide of the total effort. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All correspondence must contain the Announcement number in the subject line. Emails with attachments that do not reference the Announcement number in the subject line or the body of the message, will be disregarded to prevent the spread of computer viruses. Response submittals must include the following information: A) Name of company B) Address C) Phone and Fax number D) Point of contact E) Email address F) Business size status: 8(a), Small Business, SDVOSB, etc. G) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) from System for Award Management (SAM.gov) H) Any other pertinent information. All responses are to be submitted on company letterhead and limited to a total of (five) 5 typewritten pages, with no less than 11 point font. Information on pricing is NOT required. However, if vendors submit General information on prices/costs or a commercial/catalog price list, the FAA may use the information for informational purposes only and is NOT binding in any way. All responses must be sent to Linda.Hennequant@faa.gov NOT in a zipped format; however, the FAA will not be responsible for any failure attributable to transmitting or receiving the submittal. NOTICE The FAA has been exempted from several Federal laws and regulations as part of the 1996 DOT Appropriations Act. Some of the exemptions include the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994, the Small Business Act, the Competition in Contracting Act, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The FAAs Acquisition Management System (AMS), which became effective on April 1, 1996, is utilized in place of the FAR.

Value counts new single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling (same contract, or the same office, day and amount); that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Contract modifications are not new awards and are not added in either. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's revenue over the latest 12 months in its SEC filings.
