What the notice says

Amendment#1: Due date changed from 06 May 2025 to 22 May 2025.Also Government Point of Contact has been updated. Sole Source to Motion Control Systems, Inc. See sole source attachment for justification. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) has a requirement to procure the Evaluation of five SDV MK8 Motor/Control assemblies. This requirement is not suitable for full and open competition for the following reason(s): The motor controllers referenced in the subject purchase request were custom manufactured by Motion Control Systems, Inc. for the SDV. Motion Control Syst… (show all)

ems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Other manufacturers of similar controllers have not been vetted or approved for substitution. The additional costs and time delays for the Government to identify and evaluate another system; perform the field-testing of the equipment; and produce the required documentation and drawings would be prohibitive. As such, Motion Control Systems is the only source capable of meeting this requirement.

Value counts single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling; that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's last annual revenue from its 10-K.

Latest awards

Materiality: one award's value as a share of the winner's revenue over the latest 12 months in its SEC filings (or its last fiscal year, as noted when you point at it). Low under 1%, Medium 1 to 5%, High 5% or more. Many awards are paid over several years, so this overstates a single year's share.

Competitive landscape

For the 1 most frequent past winners above. Lobbying is matched by the company's exact name or exact ticker; agencies are as named on the filings.

  • 0 of these past winners lobbied Navy, Dept of or U.S. Marines since 2024 (0 filings)
  • 0 of their lobbyists list a past Navy, Dept of or U.S. Marines job
  • No corporate PAC money from them to the overseeing committees since 2024
  • 0 foreign-agent (FARA) registrations
