What the notice says
Dear Valued Suppliers: This is a Request for Information (RFI). DLA Troop Supports (Agency) Subsistence Produce and Market Fresh Program is interested in comments and feedback regarding the Agencys fresh Bread and Bakery Products to the Department of Defense (DoD Troop). There is no solicitation available at this time. nt and any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Please note that by responding to the instant Agency request, a potential offeror is not promised any future business with the Government. The sole purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research to assist the Agency in crafting an appropriate solicitation in the future. Background: The Agency intends to issue a solicitation and ultimately enter into a Long-Term contract(s) (LTC) with a commercial firm(s) to supply fresh Bread and Bakery products to military customers located in the Northeast Zone, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Acceptance of supplies awarded under this solicitation will be limited to fresh products. When proposing in response to a solicitation, failure to propose the specified quality requirement per item as identified above may render an offerors proposal technically unacceptable. This will consist of DoD/Troop customers in the Northeast Zone. After soliciting, the Agency intends to make one award. Offerors are required to propose on all items in the Schedule of Items. Failure to do so may result in a proposal being deemed technically unacceptable and therefore excluded from further consideration for award. Because the Contracting Officer is not obligated to initiate negotiations, when proposing to the solicitation each offeror shall submit its most competitive proposal. Said proposal shall be responsive to all of the Solicitations requirements and free from any deficiencies. The resultant contract period of performance will be from March 2, 2025 through February 26, 2028. If interested, we strongly encourage you to respond using the attached questionnaire. We appreciate and thank you in advance for any feedback. Your responses regarding this solicitation are requested back by 3:00 p.m. on October 01, 2024. Please respond via e-mail to the following address: Paul Le, Paul.Le@dla.mil; and James Barr, james.barr@dla.mil. Value counts new single-winner awards. "Shared" awards are multiple-award contracts that list every winner with the same total ceiling (same contract, or the same office, day and amount); that ceiling is not one company's win, so it is not added in. Contract modifications are not new awards and are not added in either. Notices whose amount is a placeholder such as $999,999,999 are not added in. Revenue next to a ticker is the company's revenue over the latest 12 months in its SEC filings.
