elevator. The contractor will furnish demolition operations as required to complete the project. They shall remove existing hoisting machines, elevator controls and equipment, lighting, electrical and mechanical equipment. During construction, all egress corridors shall remain clear, with sprinkler protection, lighting, exit signage, and door operation as required by Code or the Authority Having Jurisdiction. New work shall include new gearless elevator machines, control panels, variable voltage variable frequency solid state motor drives, new counterweight roller guides, new hall push button stations and signal fixtures, new braille entrance jamb plates, new sump pumps, new mechanical and electrical equipment, new LED lighting, new elevator cab interiors and finishes, and new finishes in the elevator pit, hoist way and machine room. Fire Alarm System modifications shall include new connections to the new elevator panel. New notification devices are to be provided in the elevator hoist way and machine room. Fire Sprinkler System modifications shall include the removal of the fire suppression system from the elevator pit, hoist way and machine room as indicated in the contract documents. The Contractor shall be required to submit all samples requiring color selection under a single package and comply with all other submission requirements as contractually required. The Government intends to set aside this procurement for all Small Business concerns. The estimated price range for all work is between $3,500,000 and $4,500,000. The NAICS code is 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors) with a small business size standard of $22 million. This is a negotiated procurement; therefore, a public bid opening will not be held.
