ABRAXIS� ELISA KITS ARE PROPRIETARY TO GOLD STANDARD DIAGNOSTICS HORSHAM, LLC AND GOLD STANDARD DIAGNOSTICS HORSHAM, LLC HAS NO AUTHORIZED RESELLERS. ABRAXIS� MICROCYSTIN (ADDA) ELISA TEST KITS HAVE BEEN USED SINCE NOAA BEGAN THE HARMFUL ALGAL BLOOM MONITORING PROGRAM IN 2009. IN ORDER TO ENSURE STANDARDIZATION OF DATA ACROSS MANY DIFFERENT SAMPLING PROGRAMS, IDENTICAL KITS MUST BE USED. THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (EPA), AS WELL AS MULTIPLE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS AROUND THE LAKE ERIE BASIN, ALSO USE ABRAXIS� MICROCYSTIN (ADDA) ELISA TEST KITS TO MONITOR THEIR WATERS FOR MICROCYSTINS. IF THE OF KITS ARE CHANGED, THE DATA AND ANALYSIS OF HARMFUL CYANOBACTERIA TOXICITY LEVELS WITHIN THE GREAT LAKES REGION WOULD BE COMPROMISED AND DATA WOULD NO LONGER BE COMPARABLE TO OTHER RESEARCH ENTITIES WITHIN THE REGION.
